My commitment to healthcare isn’t rooted in procedures and protocols, but in people. I began my career as a Registered Nurse, earning my degree from SUNY Brockport, and quickly discovered that true care extends far beyond medical treatment. It wasn’t just about administering medication or monitoring vital signs; it was about seeing the fear in a patient’s eyes, the exhaustion on a caregiver’s face, and the overwhelming sense of being lost in a system that often felt impersonal and complex. Witnessing the challenges families faced navigating this landscape ignited a passion within me – a desire to not just treat illness, but to support the whole person and family.
To broaden my impact, I pursued an MBA at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I realized that clinical expertise alone wasn’t enough; understanding the financial and operational realities of healthcare was crucial to driving meaningful change. I learned to analyze systems, identify inefficiencies, and advocate for solutions that improved both patient outcomes and resource utilization. For years, I led teams as Vice President of Care Management at Catholic Health, where I honed my skills in resource management, advocacy, and ensuring access to quality services for a diverse patient population. I often found myself acting as a bridge between clinical teams, insurance companies, and families, navigating complex regulations and advocating for the best possible care. There were times when securing necessary approvals for critical treatments felt like a battle, but the satisfaction of knowing I’d made a difference in someone’s life made it all worthwhile.
Now, I’m channeling that experience into a deeply rewarding new chapter. I’m dedicated to providing personalized guidance and support to individuals and families facing difficult healthcare decisions. I believe everyone deserves to feel informed, empowered, and supported, and I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, business understanding, and heartfelt compassion to every family I serve. I don’t just explain options; I help families ask the right questions, understand the implications of each choice, and ultimately, make decisions that align with their values and goals. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where they feel heard, respected, and confident in their healthcare journey.
